The 3-2 victory concluded an emotional week for the squad from Maracaibo; the team's initial flight from Venezuela was forced to turn back due to mechanical problems, and the team arrived in the U.S. with only one bat and four players who didn't have baseball spikes. The team will return home with a brand-new set of bats thanks to several equipment companies and will meet Venezuela's president in a visit to the capital city, Caracas.
