It's John McEnroe -- do I really need to make a case? OK, here goes. All of those awful commercials, the stupid game show and now the book. What's next? A talk show? A run for political office? Or is he really going to play one of the Williams sisters? Careful there, John. People once remembered Bobby Riggs for all of his tennis accomplishments, but now he's the old man who lost to Billie Jean King. You'd think being a truly great player (and arguably the best) during the peak of tennis’ popularity -- and now the top tennis broadcaster on seemingly every network -- would be enough for the guy's ego. Bjorn Borg and Jimmy Connors went away pretty quietly after their respective retirements. We didn't hear from Johnny Mac too much for a awhile either, but since Pete Sampras eclipsed essentially all of McEnroe's accomplishments, he has come back and worn out his welcome big time. It's so bad that I'm starting to miss Bud Collins!
