Australia told its story to the world in a night of flowing color and pageantry during the Opening Ceremonies of the XXVII Summer Games in Olympic Stadium. Unveiling an Olympic cauldron that arose from a fountain and scaled a waterfall to the top of the stadium, Sydney welcomed the world.
