Kong completes Chinese gold medal sweep

In 1992, Kong Linghui watched Jan-Ove Waldner of Sweden on his television set, and immediately became a big fan after the Swede won the 1992 Olympic gold medal on television. On Monday, Kong defeated his idol in a nail-biting men's singles final, completing a sweep of the gold medals for China. Kong also captured the silver medal in doubles.
