Marion Jones didn’t win five gold medals, but she did establish herself as one of the greatest athletes in history. The American finished the 2000 Games with three gold medals and two bronze, becoming the first woman to win five track and field medals at one Olympics. Saturday she ran the third leg of the victorious 4x400 relay team and anchored the 4x100 relay team to a bronze medal.
