
Another downhill race, another Austrian victory. But no one expected it to be Fritz Strobl. The 29-year-old, who had never won a medal in a major international competition, upset favored teammate Stephan Eberharter Sunday to win the premier ski event of the Games -- the downhill. Norway's Lasse Kjus took silver, and Eberharter finished with the bronze.
