- Sport: Olympic Snowboarding

- DOB: March 28, 1989
- Career Highlights: Sivertzen will hope to be back on Cypress Mountain, the site of the snowboardcross competition for the 2010 Vancouver Games,
one year after a calamitous injury in a World Cup event there derailed the promising Norwegian youngster’s 2008-09 season.
A broken collarbone and serious internal injuries were among Sivertzen’s problems that resulted from the crash on the Canadian
course. While the 20-year-old has struggled in four World Cup events since returning to the slopes this winter, he could still
emerge as a legitimate threat to earn a podium spot at the Olympics if he can regain his top form. Before the crash, he made
an impact on the World Cup circuit with three career silver medals and a gold at an event in Valle Nevado, Chile. He finished
second overall in the World Cup standings during the 2007-08 season, and also grabbed a bronze medal at the 2009 Winter X
Games. He was also a respectable 10th at the 2009 world championships. Sivertzen first flashed his big-time potential with
a win at the 2007 junior world championships in Austria.
