  • Career Highlights: Since winning the silver medal in Turin, Pain hasn’t placed in the top three in any major international competition but he was fourth in 2008-09 World Cup. He came in 10th in 2009-10. Over his career, the American-born Pain has claimed consecutive World Cup titles in 2005 and 2006 and earned a pair of world championships in 2003 and 2005. He was a World Cup runner-up in 2003 and was sixth at the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska, where his father was on assignment for work, but his family moved to Calgary a year later. While training for his sport, Pain works as a landscape architect.
