• Career Highlights: Florscheutz, who turns 32 during the Vancouver Games, comes from a sliding family, with a brother who's among Germany's top luge athletes. A former luger himself, Thomas Florscheutz is a two-time silver medalist at the world championships and has been thought of in recent years as one of the top bobsled pilots in the world _ learning plenty from maybe the best ever, his German teammate, Andre Lange. The key for Florscheutz has been consistency. He's shown he can be a podium candidate on some of the world's toughest tracks, then struggles on others, but will certainly be boosted by a two-man victory on the Whistler track last season.
