in the playoffs. He came into the new season ranked second in franchise history in regular-season wins and shutouts behind
Tom Barrasso, who backstopped the club to Cups in 1992 and 1993. In 2003, Fleury was the second goaltender to be selected
first overall in the NHL Entry Draft, joining the New York Islanders' Rick DiPietro in 2000. Fleury also won silver medals
with Canada at the World Junior Championships in 2003 and 2004.
