- Nation: United States of America
- DOB: July 26, 1983

- Career Highlights: A gold medalist in the halfpipe at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics at the age of 18, Clark will be itching to get back to
the podium following a disappointing fourth-place finish four years ago in Turin. But after a dominating recent run, she may
be entering the Vancouver Games as the favorite for gold over countrywomen and 2006 medalists Hannah Teter and Gretchen Bleiler.
Clark’s 2008-09 season was the definition of consistency in various competitions, with wins in both the World Cup events she
entered and overall titles on the Dew Tour, the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour and the U.S. Grand Prix. She also managed
a second straight silver medal at the Winter X Games, but the most important result may have been gold at the World Cup event
at Cypress Mountain, the venue for the 2010 Olympics. Clark has not slowed down as the Games draw near, winning Olympic qualifying
Grand Prix events at Copper Mountain, Mammoth Mountain and Park City. Clark has long been known for her boldness to try anything
in the pipe, and she’s credited with advancing women’s snowboarding closer to the level of the men’s events, so it would be
no surprise if she were to become the first two-time Olympic gold medalist in the halfpipe - man or woman.
