- Career Highlights: With a true speedskating pedigree, Swider-Peltz, Jr., is the daughter of four-time Olympic speedskater Nancy, Sr., who is
also her coach. The younger Swider-Peltz earned a spot on the 2010 Olympic team after winning the 3,000 meters at the 2009
U.S. Speedskating Championships in Salt Lake City. This is the first time she qualified for the Olympic team after failing
to do so at the 2002 and 2006 U.S. trials. The current 2009 U.S. Allround champion, Swider-Peltz was the youngest athlete
to compete at the 2002 U.S. Olympic trials. She also swam competitively in college.
