Brooke Shaw

  • Sport: Olympic Snowboarding
  • Nation: United States of America
  • DOB: May 12, 1991
  • Hometown: Litchfield, CT
  • Career Highlights: Shaw is a longshot to make the U.S. snowboardcross team with Lindsey Jacobellis around, but she appeared to be an up-and-comer until injuring her knee in mid-December while training for a World Cup event in Telluride, Colo. It's unclear how this will affect her for Olympic qualifying, but Shaw has experience overcoming injuries - the 18-year-old tore her ACL last year. She won the snowboardcross competition at the 2008 Chevy Revolution Tour, a year after being crowned champion in both snowboardcross and halfpipe. She also claimed an eighth-place finish in her first World Cup event, in 2007, and won gold in the giant slalom and snowboardcross disciplines at the U.S. Nationals that same year.
  • Olympic History: None
