  • Sport: Olympic Snowboarding
  • Nation: United States of America
  • DOB: February 2, 1981
  • Hometown: Steamboat Springs, CO
  • Career Highlights: Reiter was slowed for much of last winter following knee surgery, but he could be primed to rebound. The 28-year-old had already turned some heads before the injury; perhaps his best result yet came at a World Cup event in Valmalenco, Italy, in March 2008, as he reached the podium with a third-place finish in the parallel giant slalom. Reiter backed it up by grabbing seventh in parallel slalom last October in Landgraaf, Netherlands, adding these to another pair of top-10 finishes in World Cup competition during the 2007-08 campaign. He also has two recent victories in smaller events, including a win in the Nor-Am Cup in Park City, Utah, in 2008 - his seventh career gold on that circuit since he arrived on the scene in 2001. Reiter is hoping he’s ready to make the jump to a bigger podium in Vancouver, although he may have a tough road after being disqualified from a January qualifying event in Kreischberg, Austria.
