  • Career Highlights: Originally selected by Ottawa in the first round of the 2001 draft, Gleason was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in March 2003. He totaled two goals and 26 points in 125 games for the Kings over two seasons before he was dealt to Carolina in September 2006. Gleason had no goals and 12 assists in 70 games for the Hurricanes last season, but led all Carolina defensemen in hits (171) and was second on the team in blocked shots (133) and penalty minutes (68). He has been a member of Team USA at the 2001 and 2003 World Junior Championships and in the 2007 World Championship.
