  • Career Highlights: In his 14th NHL season - all with New Jersey - Elias is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and ranks second in goals. He has scored 30 or more goals four times, setting career highs with 40 goals, 56 assists and 96 points in 2000-01. A two-time Stanley Cup winner (2000, 2003), Elias also reached the finals in 2000-01 before losing Game 7 to Colorado. He became the seventh captain in team history on Oct. 5, 2006, but was stripped of the captaincy by then-coach Brent Sutter at the start of the 2007-08 season. Elias has been very productive in the playoffs, recording 40 goals and 113 points in 133 postseason games. Elias helped lead the Czech Republic to the bronze medal at the 2006 Olympics and also represented his native country at the 2002 Games.
