Stanley Cup winner (2000, 2003), Elias also reached the finals in 2000-01 before losing Game 7 to Colorado. He became the
seventh captain in team history on Oct. 5, 2006, but was stripped of the captaincy by then-coach Brent Sutter at the start
of the 2007-08 season. Elias has been very productive in the playoffs, recording 40 goals and 113 points in 133 postseason
games. Elias helped lead the Czech Republic to the bronze medal at the 2006 Olympics and also represented his native country
at the 2002 Games.
