Career Highlights: Williams found team success before making a name for herself in her Olympic debut in 2008. Prior to those Games, she was a member of the Jamaican team that won the silver in the 4x400 relay at both the 2005 and '07 world championships. That quartet set a national team record at the latter event with a time of 3:19.73. One year later in Beijing, Williams and the Jamaican team took the bronze in the 4x400 and she won silver in the 400, finishing .07 seconds behind Great Britain's Christine Ohuruogu with a then-personal best time of 49.69 seconds. She lowered that mark to 49.32 in winning the silver at the 2009 worlds, where she was also a member of Jamaica's silver-winning 4x400 team. At the 2011 worlds, Williams reached the 400 final, but settled for sixth among eight runners. However, the relay team took another silver by breaking the national team record with a time of 3:18.71.
