Career Highlights: Tufte will make his fourth Olympic appearance in London after winning gold in the single sculls at the 2004 and '08 Games.
The Norwegian, who has suffered from asthma his entire life, also took silver in the double sculls in the 2000 Games. Rowing
since he was 14, Tufte was named the 2008 World Rowing Male Rower of the Year. The married father of two makes his living
as a farmer and firefighter. Tufte also organizes the annual Tufte Farmer Challenge that tests many of Norway’s best athletes
in events that include the tractor tire flip, car pulling and ax throwing. Tufte enjoys cross country skiing and beach volleyball,
and he also competed in motocross from 1990-’94.
