Ebbesen also has an Olympic bronze from 2000, when the Danes were forced to carry on with an injury replacement. After carrying Denmark's flag during the opening ceremony in Athens and then taking gold in '04, he chose to retire, only to return three years later in preparation for the 2008 Games. He again said goodbye to the sport following Beijing, but came back last year with an eye on Olympic medal No. 5. With Ebbesen in tow, the Danes should again be favorites in London.
