Career Highlights: If there is one diver to watch above all others at the London Olympics, it may be Qiu, the reigning FINA Male Diver of the
Year. The 19-year-old native of the Sichuan province will arrive in London as the odds-on favorite to take home the gold in
the 10m platform competition after a performance in last year's world championships in Beijing that was nothing short of spectacular.
Qiu collected 25 perfect 10s and finished with a total score of a career-high 609.20 to take home the gold, narrowly defeating
teammate Cao Yuan. He also won gold in the 10m synchronized platform competition as part of a Chinese sweep of the golds.
Qiu claimed a silver medal in 10m platform at the 2009 world championships, and won two golds at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games
- in 3m springboard as well as 10m platform.
