Saskia Clark
Sport: Sailing
Nation: Great Britain
DOB: August 23, 1979
Hometown: Weymouth
Career Highlights: Saskia Clark will partner Hannah Mills in the women’s 470 for Great Britain at London 2012. A bronze at the 2007 World Championships
alongside Christina Bassadone signalled Clark’s arrival on the international stage, and the pair qualified for the Beijing
Olympics - finishing sixth in the women’s 470. Bassadone’s retirement following the 2008 games saw Clark trial crews with
Olympic gold medallists Pippa Wilson and Sarah Ayton, but following the retirement of the latter from international sailing
Clark teamed up with talented youngster and former youth world champion Mills. The pair won World Cup silver in Hyeres in
only their second regatta together, and a silver at the Sail for Gold World Cup Regatta and another at the Olympic test event
underlined the pair’s medal credentials for the London Games.
