Nation: Great Britain

DOB: November 28, 1986

Career Highlights: Lucy Macgregor skippers the women’s match racing team for Great Britain at London 2012. Macgregor had a successful youth career, winning world championship silver in the 420 dinghy, allowing her to join Shirley Robertson’s Yngling team in the build-up to Beijing. After missing out on World Championship gold in 2007, Macgregor also failed to secure a place in the 2008 Olympic squad, with Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson - the Three Blonds in a Boat - earning the berth and winning gold. Regarded as one of the leading individual racers in world sailing, Macgregor set up her own boat for 2012, with sister Kate Macgregor and Annie Lush making up the remainder of the match racing team. The trio have the 2010 match racing world title to their name and go into the Games as one of the favourites for gold in their class, with France, USA and Holland all likely to challenge.
