Warwick Draper
Sport: Canoeing
Nation: Australia
DOB: September 23, 1976
Hometown: Arthurs Creek
Career Highlights: Draper will be making his third Olympic appearance in the K-1 event, but his path to London has been his most challenging
yet. The Australian has competed with the national team for 14 years and will be seeking his first Olympic medal. He finished
ninth at the Athens Games and fifth in Beijing, despite qualifying for the final run in China with the field's second-fastest
time. But Draper's third Games may be the most special for him. He was stricken with Grandular Fever in 2009, forcing him
to take the season off without training. After regaining his strength and endurance, he's deemed himself fit for London, and
backed that diagnosis up with a second-place finish at this year's national championships.
