Career Highlights: Reitz shined in junior competition before 2008 and carried that success into his first year as a senior-level shooter, highlighting
it with a bronze medal in the Beijing Games. The German earned that in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol and since then, has
won gold at the 2011 World Cup finals to add to his growing collection of first-place finishes in that series. Reitz has won
gold at five World Cup events and twice finished as a runner-up in the finals, in 2008 and 2009. He’s also collected four
silver medals in the series, including two this year, and a bronze. Before heading to Beijing, Reitz won a junior world title
in the rapid fire pistol in 2006. The next year, he claimed a pair of gold medals at the European junior championships and
finished second in another competition. Reitz earned a silver and a bronze as a senior competitor at the 2011 championships.
