Ki Bo Bae
Sport: Archery
Nation: South Korea
DOB: February 20, 1988
Career Highlights: One of the world’s top-ranked archers, Ki will try to help South Korea continue its dominance on the women’s side in London.
Her country has won all six gold medals since the team competition began in 1988 and had a streak of six consecutive individual
golds snapped in Beijing. Ki earned her first international title at the 2008 World University Games and has made regular
appearances on the podium during recent World Cup events. She finished first during a stop in Shanghai in April and also won
there in 2010 to earn a berth in the World Cup finals, where she finished third. Ki also came in third during the London Archery
Classic, held at this year’s Olympic venue. She was a member of the winning mixed pairs team with Im Dong-Hyun and the third-place
women’s team at her first world championships. She came in 17th, however, in the individual competition and will look to atone
for that finish at the Lord’s Cricket Ground this summer.
