Career Highlights: Lee was a silver medalist in Athens, but a shoulder injury has kept her out of international competition for nearly five years.
During her return to the Olympics, she'll try to lead the South Korean women to a seventh straight team gold medal while regaining
some individual glory. Before her injury, Lee appeared poised to pursue another Olympic medal in Beijing. She won a world
title and claimed gold at the University Games in 2005. After earning the world's No. 1 ranking, she finished first at the
2007 Asian championships and led South Korea to the team gold. Since her return to competition, she’s appeared to pick up
right where she left off with a second-place finish at a World Cup stop in Turkey in May. She was also a member of the winning
team and winning mixed team during that event.
