Career Highlights: Whether or not Dukatova is successful at the Games, the fact she will be competing at such a high level should be deemed a success in itself. Dukatova has overcome multiple injuries to remain one of the top female slalom canoeists in the world. She missed significant time in 2003 after separating her shoulder, but barely missed out on qualifying for the Athens Games. Dukatova went on to win gold at the worlds in 2006, though a disappointing finish at the 2007 worlds kept her from the 2008 Olympics. Last year, she was forced to have shoulder surgery that kept her out of the water for six weeks, but she recovered to win silver at the 2011 worlds.
