Viran Morros
Sport: Handball
Nation: Spain
DOB: December 15, 1983
Career Highlights: Morros is set to make his Olympic debut after he was omitted from the squad that won the bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing
Games. There will be no denying his place in London, however, as he was named the best defensive player at the 2012 European
championships - despite the fact that Spain failed to earn a medal after falling to Denmark in the semifinals and to Croatia
in the bronze-medal match. Morros showed his improvement at the 2011 world championship as he helped Spain to the bronze with
a 24-23 victory over Sweden. He has spent his entire pro career in Spain and the Barcelona-born defender currently plies his
trade for famed club FC Barcelona. Morros moved back home after financial problems plagued previous club Ciudad Real, a three-time
EHF Champions League winner which was forced to move to Madrid and change its name to BM Atletico Madrid.
