Peter Biros
Sport: Waterpolo
Nation: Hungary
DOB: April 5, 1976
Career Highlights: Biros has been a member of each of Hungary's three consecutive gold medal-winning Olympic water polo teams. The team captain
has produced six multi-goal games in Olympic play - four of them in 2008, highlighted by a three-goal effort in the final
round to lead the Hungarians to a 14-10 victory over the United States. Making that performance even more impressive, Biros
revealed following the Beijing Games that he'd played the entire tournament with a cyst by his heart - a fact which was known
only to Biros and his doctors. He received a Fair Play award for the accomplishment. Nicknamed 'pheasant,' Biros has also
helped the Hungarians capture gold medals at the 2003 World Championships, the 2003 FINA World League and the 1999 FINA World
Cup.
