Career Highlights: Campbell qualified for her second straight Olympics in the hammer with a meet-record throw of 235 feet, 6 inches (71.80 meters)
at the U.S. trials in June. Four years ago, she finished 21st in the qualifying round at the Beijing Games with a toss of
67.86 meters after being runner-up at the trials with a throw of 69.24 meters. Campbell was the 2010 U.S. outdoor champion,
when she registered a throw of 71.52 meters, and was the outdoor runner-up in 2008, '09 and '11. Her career-best throw is
72.59 meters in April 2011. Campbell has appeared in three outdoor world championships and won the bronze at the 2011 Pan
American Games. She starred collegiately at Coastal Carolina, where she was a 16-time Big South champion, five-time NCAA All-American
and three-time Big South women’s track athlete of the year. She has maintained her ties to the Coastal Carolina program, continuing
to serve as a volunteer assistant for throwers.
