Career Highlights: Fatih will be appearing in his first Olympics, teaming with skipper Mark Mendelblatt in the Star division. The sailing coach from Miami won a bronze medal with Mendelblatt at the 2011 world championships. The duo is ranked 17th in the world in their class and have placed in the top 10 in most international competitions since deciding to pursure the Olympics as a team. “We’ve been working hard and training hard, and it’s all coming together,” Fatih said. Despite being a first-time Olympian, he'll receive plenty of guidence from Mendelblatt, who qualified for the 2004 Games in the Laser.
