and wife of fellow Olympian Eric Uptagrafft is set to take part in the 25-meter pistol in London. Uptagrafft, an information
systems technician and petty officer first class, spent nine months in Afghanistan from 2010-11 as part of the 3rd Naval Construction
Regiment but was given a chance to compete at the 2010 world championships, where she finished eighth in the 10-meter air
pistol. Uptagrafft came in third in that event at the 2011 Pan Am Games and earned a silver medal in the 25-meter pistol.
She won gold medals at the Pan Am Games in 2003 and 2007, and is a two-time silver medalist at the Championship of the Americas.
Uptagrafft won a national title in the 25-meter pistol in 2011 and finished second in the air pistol.
