Career Highlights: Donahue secured her first Olympic appearance with a second-place finish in the 100m butterfly at the trials. She qualified for the 2008 trials in the 100 and 200m fly but was unable to advance past the opening round in either event. Donahue won gold in the 100m fly at the 2011 Pan American Games and as part of the 4x100m medley relay team. She finished second in the 100m fly at the 2011 nationals. While swimming for Western Kentucky University, Donahue came in second nationally in the 100 fly in 2011. She swept the 100 and 200 fly events at the Sun Belt championships, completing a four-year run where she won both events. Her sister, Audrey, is a two-time world champion power tumbler and brother, Zack, is a swimmer who coached Claire in high school.
