Career Highlights: Cogdell is seeking her second Olympic medal after becoming the first American woman to earn one in trap shooting four years ago. She claimed that bronze in a shoot-off with three other competitors in Beijing but had to rally to earn a berth for the London Games. Cogdell entered the final stages of the Olympic Trials trailing by six targets but eventually prevailed by 10. She also won her first World Cup gold medal this year in Tucson, Ariz., and her third overall in that series. She finished second at a stop in Mexico in 2010 and third at one in South Korea in 2007. Cogdell also won a gold medal at the 2010 Championship of the Americas, and was a third-place finisher at the 2007 Pan Am Games.
