Career Highlights: Milev is set to compete in his fifth Olympics, but the London Games will be his first for the United States. The former Bulgarian shooter became an American citizen in 2009, five years after moving from his native country. Milev won his only Olympic medal in 1996, a silver in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol, and came in fourth in 2000. He finished ninth in that event in Athens in 2004, his most recent Olympic appearance. In 2011, Milev won a gold medal at the Pan Am Games, a national title and finished third at a World Cup event in Munich. He came in second at the Championship of the Americas in 2010. A physical education teacher in Florida, Milev is a 14-time World Cup medalist, including five golds. He finished second at the 1994 world championships, the 1995 World Cup finals and in two European championships.
