Career Highlights: The No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 WNBA draft helped the Minnesota Lynx win a championship in her first season. Moore led all first-year players in scoring at 13.2 points per game and ranked second in rebounds (4.6), winning Rookie of the Year honors, and bettering both averages in the playoffs. She was the first rookie to be voted an All-Star starter since Olympic teammates Sue Bird and Tamika Catchings in 2002. Moore is the youngest player on the U.S. roster and was just 20 when she was named to the national team in 2010. Later that year, she averaged 8.7 points off the bench during Team USA's unbeaten run at the world championships. She was second on that U.S. squad with nine 3-pointers and could make her biggest contribution as a long-range threat, having finished sixth in the WNBA last season in 3-pointers made (58) and attempted (157). A gold medal in London would mark Moore's fourth title in as many years, having led the University of Connecticut to championships in 2009 and 2010. A two-time winner of both the Naismith and Wooden awards - given to the nation's top player - Moore is UConn's all-time leading scorer with 3,036 points and one of two four-time All-Americans in NCAA history. She also won three Georgia state titles as a high school star, though she was born in Jefferson City, Mo.
