Katie O'Donnell
Sport: Field Hockey
Nation: United States of America
DOB: December 6, 1988
Hometown: Blue Bell, PA
Career Highlights: O'Donnell had an impressive collegiate career, but the London Olympics have been her primary focus since 2008. Despite being
a teenage phenom and the youngest member on the U.S. national team, O'Donnell was left off the squad that went to Beijing
in '08. While she may not have made the Olympic team, O'Donnell led Maryland to two NCAA titles and was a three-time ACC player
of the year. Older, and admittedly more mature, O'Donnell leads the U.S. into London after helping the team stun Argentina
at the 2011 Pan American Games to win a gold medal and earn an automatic Olympic berth. O'Donnell was named to the Pan American
Elite team after scoring a goal in the upset. O'Donnell is one of the most decorated U.S. field hockey players. She was the
2010 Sportswoman of the Year and has more than 100 international caps. O'Donnell was the youngest player to score a goal in
an international game, accomplishing the feat at the age of 16.
