Career Highlights: Kalmoe will appear in her second Olympics this summer after finishing fifth in double sculls at the Beijing Games four years
ago. In London, she'll be competing in quadruple sculls after taking a silver medal in that event at the 2011 world championships.
Kalmoe teamed with Adrienne Martelli and Natalie Dell at the worlds, and Kara Kohler was added to the crew after she won gold
in the same race. Kalmoe started rowing in 2002 at the University of Washington, where she was a three-time All-Pac-10 pick
and a first-team All-American in 2006. She helped the Huskies take ninth in the varsity eight at the NCAA championships that
year, 12th in 2005 and sixth in the second varsity eight in '04. Kalmoe crossed in fifth place in the quadruple sculls at
the 2010 worlds, sixth in the double sculls in '09 and took first in the four at the U-23 world championships in '05.
