Career Highlights: This will be the first Olympics for Ipsen, who will compete in Beijing as the new partner in synchronized 3m springboard for national team mainstay Troy Dumais. The tandem has been terrific, with the divers winning every national competition they've entered since 2009, including a 1,296.21-point effort to win the Olympic trials in June. In international events, they won a pair of USA Diving Grand Prix meets in 2009 and 2010. Ipsen took first place in individual 3m springboard at the 2011 national championships, but slumped to third in that event at the U.S. trials and will not be competing in any solo events in London. He has been diving since he was six years old.
