He has been part of the national team since 2000 and was an alternate for the 2004 Olympic squad. The Louisville, Ky., native was a key contributor to the U.S. securing its spot for London at the NORCECA Men’s Continental Olympic Qualification Tournament in May, finishing with 45 digs in 58 attempts while playing all 16 sets in five matches as the U.S. won the title. He had 10 faults in 97 attempts in the final round of the World League this month as the U.S. finished second. Lambourne was the team’s leading digger and seventh overall with 61 at the 2011 FIVB World Cup in helping the U.S. to a sixth-place finish, and he had a team-high 180 in 107 sets overall last year. At the club level, Lambourne has enjoyed a lengthy career throughout Europe with stops in Austria (Aon hotVolleys Vienna), the Netherlands (Piet Zoomers Apeldoorn), Greece (Lamia), Belgium (Noliko Maaseik) and Russia (Lokomotiv-Belogorie). He's currently with Fart Kielce, his third team in Poland after also playing for AZS Olsztyn and Delecta Bydgoszcz.
