Chay Lapin
Sport: Waterpolo
Nation: United States of America
DOB: February 25, 1987
Career Highlights: This will be the first Olympic Games for Lapin, who serves as backup goalkeeper to Merrill Moses for the Americans. He filled
that role at the 2011 Pan American Games, where Team USA took first place to earn a ticket to London. Lapin may fill a reserve
role now, but he played plenty of minutes in net during his four-year college career at UCLA, where he established a new school
record with 719 saves. As a senior he helped lead the Bruins reach the 2009 NCAA championship match against crosstown rival
Southern California. Though he didn't go to the Olympics four years ago, Lapin did train with the U.S. team prior to the Beijing
Games.
