Career Highlights: The outside hitter will make her first Olympic appearance after becoming a valuable contributor on the front line for the
U.S. during this cycle. She made an impact in the first two rounds of the squad’s run to a third consecutive FIVB World Grand
Prix title, highlighted by a 21-point, 11-dig effort versus Brazil, and averaged 4.00 points, 3.26 kills and 3.00 digs per
set. In Grand Prix play in 2011, she ranked among the top 15 in scoring, spiking, serving, receiving and blocking and scored
at least 10 points in eight matches. At the 2011 World Cup, Larson was seventh in receiving with a 55.35 percent efficiency
rating and fourth among U.S. players with 92 points - 74 coming by spike. Larson began her professional career with Puerto
Rico’s Vaqueras de Bayamon in 2009, and has spent the last four seasons helping Russian side Dynamo Kazan become one of the
elite European teams. She was named Best Receiver in the 2011-12 CEV Champions League after helping Kazan to a third-place
finish in the tournament.
