Career Highlights: Brown is already a U.S. and NCAA champion in the 400-meter hurdles, and she’ll try to add Olympic champion to that list in
London. Brown, who changed the spelling of her first name from Ti’erra, qualified for the 2012 Games after finishing third
at the U.S. trails with a time of 54.81 seconds - 0.28 ahead of fourth-place finisher Tiffany Williams. Brown, a seven-time
All-American at the University of Miami, won the 2010 U.S. outdoor world championships, clocking in at 54.85 seconds. A year
later, she finished eighth in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA championships, but was first in the 400m hurdles with a time
of 55.65 seconds. Following her senior season at Miami in 2011, Brown was named the ACC women’s outdoor track performer of
the year.
