Jan Ebeling
Sport: Equestrian
Nation: United States of America
DOB: September 14, 1958
Hometown: Moorpark, CA
Career Highlights: Ebeling has all the confidence in the world with partner Rafalca, as the pair has competed together since 2006. This year,
the duo will take the next step and compete in London. In 2007, Ebeling was awarded a USEF training grant and made the decision
to train in Germany, taking his three horses. The experience that the pair gained there has proved to be invaluable, and Ebeling
realized that Rafalca had the talent to become an international Grand Prix horse. Quickly, they racked up top finishes on
their way to the FEI World Cup Final in 2009, including at the CDI-Ws at Pebble Beach, Saugerties and Devon. At the 2011 Reem
Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Final, the pair was the top-placing American team in the Grand Prix Test and Freestyle. Ebeling
started 2012 with a bang by winning the Grand Prix Special at Dressage Getaway Inc. Later in the year the pair was first in
the Freestyle and second in the Grand Prix Test at the Mid-Winter Dressage Festival. Away from horses, Ebeling enjoys playing
soccer, biking and driving the tractor with his son, Ben. Ebeling and his wife Amy own and operate their own training and
sales facility, The Acres, in California.
