Anthony Fahden
Sport: Rowing
Nation: United States of America
DOB: February 27, 1986
Career Highlights: Fahden will arrive in London this summer riding a wave of momentum into the Games as he prepares to make his Olympic debut.
The 26-year-old helped the U.S. lightweight four crew (Nick LaCava, Will Newell and Robin Prendes) finish first - nipping
the Netherlands with a late burst - at the final Olympic qualification regatta in May. It was a particularly impressive result
considering Fahden and Prendes were on the boat that crossed the finish line 13th at the 2011 world championships. Fahden
helped the Americans finish 10th at the worlds in 2010, and he was on the lightweight eight crew at the 2009 worlds that won
silver. A native of Lafayette, Calif., Fahden started rowing in 2001 at Oakland Strokes and competed for Dartmouth before
graduating in 2008 with a degree in art history. While with the Big Green, he was named to the All-Ivy team and helped the
varsity eight win the 2007 EARC Eastern Sprints title.
