Career Highlights: Akinradewo has come into her own recently, earning her first Olympic appearance while becoming a valuable front-line member for the U.S. She played five matches over the first two rounds of the FIVB World Grand Prix to help the U.S. win a third straight title, averaging 3.06 points per set. The middle blocker was a key contributor to the U.S. clinching a spot in London at the 2011 World Cup, finishing fourth among all blockers with 0.73 per set, posting 27 stuffs and reaching double figures in points in all nine matches she played as the U.S. placed second. Akinradewo also had a strong showing in helping the U.S. to a third-place finish at the Pan Am Cup, posting a .500 hitting percentage. While not on the Olympic squad in 2008, she was on a traveling team that toured China and also on a squad that played a three-match exhibition versus Brazil. Akinradewo has tri-citizenship with family ties to Canada and Nigeria in addition to the United States. At the club level, she completed her first season with Russian side Dinamo Krasnodar and made her professional debut in 2010 with Japan’s TAB Queenseis.
