Career Highlights: Anderson joined younger sister Haley on the Olympic team with a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter freestyle at the trials to earn a spot on the 4x200 relay team. The sisters were also teammates at the 2009 world championships where Alyssa earned a silver medal swimming prelims in the 800m free relay. She placed third in the 200m free, seventh in the 400 free and eighth in the 200 butterfly at the 2011 nationals. At the 2009 nationals, Anderson narrowly missed a medal with a fourth-place finish in the 200 free. She was a 16-time All-American at the University of Arizona and is the school's record holder in the 500 free.
