Career Highlights: Despite being the oldest U.S. player on the women's basketball roster, Catchings remains among the world's best, and she is likely to start for the gold-medal favorites just as she did at the 2010 world championships. She averaged 8.8 points to help Team USA go unbeaten and qualify for London. No American hoopster has more national team experience - her USA Basketball career dates back to 1997, when she was only in high school. Named one of the top 15 players in WNBA history on the league's 15th anniversary in 2011, Catchings is incredibly gifted offensively, but there may be no one better at the other end of the floor. She's a four-time defensive player of the year and has made the WNBA's all-defensive first team each of the past seven seasons. Catchings is the reigning league MVP after finishing 2011 ranked among the league's top 13 in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. She's the only player in WNBA history to lead her team in each of those categories in any season - and she's done it eight times. Catchings has spent her entire 10-year pro career with Indiana and led the Fever to the 2011 conference finals, but suffered a foot injury early in that series and her team was ousted. She is now fully recovered and looking to win a third Olympic title after averaging around seven points and five rebounds in her previous two trips to the Summer Games. The former University of Tennessee star has WNBA career averages of 16.5 points and 7.6 rebounds.
