Career Highlights: Spear qualified for London as a member of the team that took the bronze at the Moscow World Cup - the first U.S. men's saber team to win a World Cup medal since 2005 - and will be making his first Olympic appearance. He made his first senior world championship team in 2011 and won a team gold medal at the Pan American Championships that year. Spear placed sixth in the USA Fencing National Championships in 2011 and sixth in the team competition at the World University Games. He was part of the 2007 and 2008 junior world championship teams.
