Career Highlights: Piermarini will be representing the United States for a second straight Summer Games after teaming with Elliot Hovey in Beijing for a 13th-place finish in double sculls four years ago. In London, that duo will join Peter Graves and Alex Osborne in the quadruple sculls boat. Piermarini originally had dreams of Olympic glory in downhill skiing, but that changed when he started rowing as a freshman at the University of Massachusetts. Since 2008, his best international finish was eighth in the quadruple sculls at the 2010 world championships. Piermarini is an architectural draftsman by trade.
